The pattern also includes instructions for working an envelope border in the round (overlay mosaic) and a circular border (interlocking). Each motif can be made as a solid piece or in a waffle-like (or mesh-like) variation. You require two colors of yarn, C1 (a pattern color) and C2 (a background color). Terminology: all crochet terms used are U.S. Technique: Overlay mosaic crochet in the round from the center and row by row bottom up. Hook 2.5 mm. Hook size needed to match the gauge. **Yardage** for one motif (solid version) approx. 60 m of С1 yarn, 70 m of С2 yarn.
