Timeless Twist DK

The original fingering version of [Timeless Twist][1] has had a lot of wear in my wardrobe since it was published. As I mentioned when designing that sweater, I love speckled and hand-dyed yarns, but it isn't always easy to find a stitch pattern that accentuates those yarn qualities rather than feeling like the pattern and the yarn are competing with each other. The slip stitch cable pattern used in Timeless Twist is a simple 4 st pattern repeat that creates an interesting texture and lets the yarn do its thing. It is worked flat until the V-Neck is joined at the centre front, and then in the round to the underarm separation. Sleeve stitches are put on hold while the body is worked down to the hem. The sleeves are then worked top down with the option of short or long sleeves. The collar is picked up from the edge of the neckline and worked in the round.
