Arete II

Arete II is a small spring scarf. It’s shaped as a long, shallow triangle with tapered ends. The combination of lightweight yarn, flexible ribbing, and the skinny shape makes it easy to wear in changeable weather.It’s also pretty economic to knit, as you can make the largest size in less than one skein of Malabrigo Yarn Mechita. Choose from three size options to knit this design as a kerchief, mid-, or full-sized scarf. This .PDF features very detailed line instructions, but once you have the pattern established, it flows very nicely. **Materials:** * 240-330 yards of Malabrigo Yarn Mechita; sample shown in Piedras * 1 set of straight needles or 1 24" circular needle in US4/3.5mm, or size needed for gauge * Tapestry needle **Gauge:** Gauge is 20 sts and 29 rows over 4"/10cm of lightly blocked stockinette, worked flat. Please be sure to check your gauge. **Measurements:** As shown, this scarf measures about 42(56, 72)”/1.06(1.42, 1.82)m long and 6.4(8, 10)"/16(20, 25)cm across the widest point. This ribbing is very stretchy and flexible, so measurements will vary a little.
