Svea zipper cardigan

**Svea zipper cardigan** is worked from the top down, in stockinette stitch, with trims in twisted ribbing. The body is worked flat, with raglan increases and neckline increases. After the yoke is completed, sleeve sts are placed on stitch holders and the body is worked straight to the hem. Neck stitches are then picked up and the collar is worked in twisted ribbing. Attached I-cords are worked along the front edges. The sleeves are worked in the round, using DPNs or Magic loop. The zipper is sewn in place. The collar is folded to the inside of the garment and sewn in place. **SIZES:** 1 (2, 3, 4, 5) (6, 7, 8, 9). Finished circumference: 99 (106, 111, 115, 120) (130, 139, 150, 160) cm. Recommended ease: 15–20 cm. Shown in size 2 with 20 cm ease. **GAUGE:** 23 sts x 32 rows = 10 x 10 cm worked in stockinette stitch. **YARN:** Rauma Finull (100% wool. 175m/50g): 7 (7, 7, 8, 8) (9, 9, 10, 11) skeins. Or 1100 (1150, 1200, 1250, 1300) (1500, 1600, 1700, 1800) m of a similar yarn that gives the gauge. Shown in Rauma Finull, col. 403. **NEEDLES: 3.5 mm (US4)** or a needle size that gives the correct gauge. Circular needles 100–120 cm for the body. A set of DPNs (or Magic loop) for the sleeves. The same needle size is used for both the stockinette stitch and the ribbing. **NOTIONS:** Stitch markers, stitch holders, tapestry needle. Sewing pins, sewing needle and sewing thread in a matching colour. Separating zipper: 55 (55, 55, 55, 55) (60, 60, 60, 60) cm. **CHOOSING A SIZE:** The cardigan is designed with approx. 15–20 cm of positive ease at bust. Measure your bust circumference at its widest part and choose a size that is approx. 15–20 cm larger than your body measurement. For example – if your bust measurement is 97 cm, size 4 will give you 18 cm of ease (115 - 97 = 18 cm).
