**YARN**
Worsted weight yarn scraps in 2 contrasting colors, approximately 25 g total.
**FINISHED SIZE**
One size, to fit a standard 20 oz. coffee cup.
Approximately 10”/25 cm wide x 4”/10 cm tall measured when laid flat, after blocking.
**GAUGE**
21 sts and 26 rounds = 4”/10 cm, worked in colorwork pattern in the round, after blocking.
Gauge is not crucial for this project, but will affect the finished size and how much yarn is needed.
**NEEDLES & NOTIONS**
• US 6/4 mm Knitting Needles for working a small circumference in the round;
⁃One 32-40”/80-100 cm circular needle
for Magic Loop, or
⁃Two 24”/60 cm circular needles, or
⁃Four or Five Double-Pointed Needles.
• US G/4 mm Crochet Hook
• Stitch Markers, 9
• Darning Needle
• Row Counter (or scrap paper)
• Sharp scissors
• Buttons, 0.5"/1.25 cm diameter, 3
• Sewing needle & thread to attach buttons
**SKILLS USED**
This is the perfect small project to learn some essential skills for knitting and steeking a full-size sweater in the round and turning it into a cardigan. The skills used in this pattern are:
