**Lomond is an Overlay Mosaic Crochet Pattern** Inspiration for crochet designs can strike in the most unexpected ways. This particular pattern was born from a view of the pier at Rowardennan on Loch Lomond. I was captivated by the vertical form of the jetty, framed by the triangular peaks of the surrounding mountains. That striking interplay of shapes stayed with me, and after a bit of sketching, the "Lomond" pattern came to life. Worked in the standard overlay row-by-row technique, these patterns let you create a unique, 'entirely yours' blanket. You can follow the patterns in order or mix and match them however you like—they’re fully interchangeable. Use all the patterns, a few, or just one—the choice is yours. This pattern is also a fantastic stash buster, so dive into your yarn stash and have fun bringing your creation to life! **************************************************** The PDF includes 16 easy-to-read charts (with Xs for DCs) for each pattern included and corresponding written instructions. Two PDFs are available - one using US terms and one using UK terms. **************************************************** You can use any yarn and corresponding hook you like for this pattern, just remember a tighter tension is better for mosaic crochet. If using just two colours of Yarnsmiths Create DK, you will need approximately: * 5 skeins of Colour A * 5 skeins of Colour B * 2 skeins for a 3-row Double Border in the colour of your choice The blanket size will be approximately 110cm wide by 140cm long with a 3-row double border (183 stitches x 223 rows) **************************************************** For my example, I used four colours of Yarnsmiths Create DK, with a 4mm hook.
