Farmyard Sheep

An original crochet amigurumi Sheep pattern by June Gilbank. Farmyard Sheep is a mix-and-match pattern that lets you choose the options you want, to make different types of rams, ewes and lambs: - **Horns:** Add horns for a ram, or leave them off for most ewes and all lambs. - **Horn length:** To make shorter horns, stop crocheting whenever the horns reach the length you prefer! - **Tail:** You can choose to leave off the tail entirely. - **Contrast colours:** You can choose to make the fleece a different colour from the other body parts, or make the entire sheep in a single colour. You can also choose to make the hooves in a separate colour (to match the horns, if your sheep has horns!), or to have self-coloured hooves. You choose! Make any of my pictured options in any colour(s), or assemble your own custom sheep and lambs from the included options - it's up to you. **Details:** The sheep's fleece is crocheted in *pip stitch*, a new stitch I created for this pattern that makes a textured fabric with small bobbles, but without leaving any gaps between the stitches where the stuffing can peek through. (The pattern includes full right- and left-handed instructions for the pip stitch and bonus tips for assembling your pip stitch pieces to create strong, smooth joins.) The optional curved horns are wire-free and child-safe! **Yarn:** less than 1 skein of yarn (about 160 yards/145m total) of worsted weight yarn in 1 or 2 sheep colours of your choice (black, white, cream, grey etc), plus a small amount of a contrast colour for hooves and horns (optional). **Hook:** US E / 3.5mm **Size:** approx 6.5" (17cm) long **Eyes:** 9mm
