This stockinette cape has great potential of becoming your new wardrobe favorite – for outdoor use as well as indoor use. The neckline is worked separately, so it is easy to adjust the length. Construction Knitted in one piece, top down. Shoulders and neckline are shaped with increases. The first part is worked flat until the neckline is finished. Then you work in the round until the slit and divide the body. Back and front pieces are worked separately. To make sure you get the right placement for the slit, you can work the neckline after you have used up the first ball of yarn. The stitches are picked up along the neck opening and you can easily adjust the neckline to your desired length. Fit Darcy Cape has a wide fit, with a beautiful drape on the shoulders. The neckline is wide and high, but it is not tight at the neck. Compare this measurement to “Circumference above the slit” stated in the measurements of the cape (see*).
