The earflaps are worked first and then attached to the brim of the hat on the first round. There is a full step-by-step tutorial for this pattern on my YouTube channel here: [https://youtu.be/gne3zIo\_A8Q](https://youtu.be/gne3zIo_A8Q) Skills Needed: Cast on I-cord Knit/Purl Increasing (yo) Joining in the round Decreasing Working with DPN or small circumference needles Sizes: Adult Small/Medium (Adult Large) Finished Measurements: 19.5 (22)”/49 (55) cm circumference and 8 (8.5)”/20 (21) cm depth. Yarn: 100 (120) yards of Bulky weight (CYCA #6) yarn. Sample shown in: Summer Camp Fibers “Marshmallow Bulky” (100% Superwash Merino Wool; 109 yds/100 g) in Adventure Alley. Needles: US 11 (8 mm) 16”/40 cm circular needles and DPN or size needed for gauge. Adjust needle size as necessary to obtain gauge. Gauges: 11 stitches x 16 rounds = 4 inches in Stockinette Stitch 11 sts and 16 rounds = 4” in Stockinette Stitch.
