These socks are knit from the cuff down. It begins with a tubular cast on and a ribbed cuff. The leg and the foot are knitted with a colorwork pattern. These socks are knit with a short row heel and finished with Kitchener stitch. SIZING To determine the size to knit, measure the circumference of the foot at the widest point: • Size S: 18 to 20 cm ; • Size M: 21 to 24 cm ; • Size : to 28 cm ; Sample shawn in size M. Leg and foot length can be easely adjusted. GAUGE (washed and blocked) 34 sts x 40 rounds = 10 x 10 cm (4 inches) for colorwork. 36 sts x 42 rounds = 10 x 10 cm (4 inches) for ribbing and stockinette NOTIONS • Stitch markers • Tapestry needle • Scissors • Ruler YARN Filcolana Arwetta Classic (80 % superwash merino wool, 20 % nylon), 210 m/50 g COLORS MC: Black (102), approximatively 50 g CC1: Geranium red (218), approximatively 25 g CC2: Natural white (101), approximatively 10 g Any fingering-weight sock yarn can be used for this pattern as long as you get the same gauge. NEEDLES US 1 (2,25 mm), 32-inch (80 cm) circular for magic loop, or DPNs or a 9-inch (23 cm) circular needle. Or the needle sizes needed to get the right gauge. La longueur du pied et de la tige peut facilement être adaptée.
