The Gift Wrap

The Gift Wrap is a fun and easy garter stitch wrap that you can knit using mini skeins or yarn scraps. It is the perfect project to knit with your yarn advent calendars too! Just knit each section with the mini skein you open each day! After you knit the first section using your first color, you will begin each of the next 11 sections with a garter row and then a bobble row. This row adds a delicate touch to the wrap and is the perfect detail to separate each color section. Yardage The total yardage for the wrap is 1005 yds (919 m)-1048 yds (959 m)/230 g-240 g. The version above was made using twelve (20 g/88 yds/80 m) mini skeins alternating between a tonal skein and a speckled skein to make 12 sections. Each section uses almost the entire mini skein but you may have a tiny bit left after finishing each color section. Needles US 5 (3.75 mm) on 24” (60 cm), or longer, circular cable. Gauge 23 sts x 22 rows = 4” measured in garter stitch after blocking.
