Sunflower Lovers Bauble

Bring sunflowers into your home this Christmas with the Sunflower Lovers Bauble! Featuring a textured sunflower design, this Christmas decoration is made in two halves worked in the round, then joined using the Join As You Go technique. With photo tutorials and short video demonstrations for the less familiar stitches and techniques, this pattern is suitable for all experience levels from confident beginners up. Instructions are given in both U.S. and U.K terminology. For this project you’ll need approximately 30m/31yds of DK weight yarn in five colours, to make a bauble measuring approximately 7cm in diameter. For each bauble I used 10g of acrylic yarn - a combination of Yarnsmiths Create DK (100 % acrylic, 290m/317yds per 100g) in colours Chocolate Brown and Mustard, and Yarnsmiths Create DK Glitter (95% acrylic and 5% polyester, 290m/317yds per 100g)in Red, White and Green. You'll also need a 3mm hook, and either a 6cm polystyrene bauble or toy stuffing with which to fill your bauble.
