What could be better than freshly fallen snow? Making tracks in the snow, of course! There is just something about putting our stamp... literally stamping our feet in new snow... that brings out our inner child and puts a smile on our faces. The “Snowprints Winter Accessory Set” was designed as a reminder of those long-ago winter days when we raced our friends to see who could make the first tracks in the snow. Created using a reverse broken rib stitch pattern, this matching cowl and hat is a simple, beginner-friendly project that uses alternating knit and purl stitches. Nothing could be better than making your own outerwear accessories this winter, except maybe a mug of hot chocolate... These knitting patterns are digital downloads in a PDF format. Please note that the “Snowprints Winter Hat” and the "Snowprints Winter Cowl" are written as two separate patterns and have two separate pattern files. Difficulty Level: Beginner Size: Teen/Adult S/M, Adult L/XL Stitch Patterns Used: reverse broken rib Stitches Used: knit, purl, knit two together Techniques Used: knit in the round Needles Needed: US 8 (5.0 mm) circular needles, US 10 (6.0 mm) circular needles suggested length for both sets of circular needles - 20 cm (8”) for smaller sizes, 40 cm (16”) for larger sizes A helpful note from our design team about our patterns… Each TLA Exclusive pattern includes the names and written instructions for all the pattern stitches used. At TLA, we strive to help foster competent and confident knitters. We hope that this added detail will inspire imagination, encourage knitters to create their own unique designs, and expand their stitch library. Also, to make finding your perfect needle size and yarn as easy as can be, every TLA Exclusive pattern lists the yarn gauge for the yarn used in the instructions (the tension and weight of the yarn itself – usually found on the yarn label) as well as the pattern gauge (the designer’s tension when working that specific knitting pattern). We hope that this will serve as a great reference for knitters and help to ensure the quality of their work, because quality work comes from quality patterns. Happy Knitting! - The TLA Design Team PLEASE NOTE: All pictures are authentic and taken with a camera phone. They have minor colour corrections to enhance image quality, making the garment's stitches more defined and easier to see.
