Nia Sweater

The Nia sweater is knitted by starting at the back from the top down to the base of the armholes. Then, both fronts are picked up and knitted separately, working from the top down to the edge of front neck. After joining both pieces, the front is worked to the base of the armhole, and then the front and back are joined and knitted in the round down to the hem. Pick up and knit for the neckband and sleeves.

(The gauge mentioned here is based on the finished garment's body circumference and the total number of stitches) Recommended ease: 0~40 cm / 0~15.75” Size: 1 (2, 3, 4) Sample shown in size 1 with 39 cm/15.5” positive ease. Finished body circumference: 122 (137, 158, 175)cm/48 (54, 62.25, 69)” Yarn: De Rerum Natura, Gilliatt/worsted, 100% Merino, 250m/273yd per 100g. 
 5 (6, 7, 8) Balls. Approx. 1250 (1500, 1750, 2000) m / 1367 (1640, 1913, 2187) yds (You may need more yardage when extending the length of body) Note: My sample of the brown version is knitted in Size 1 with one strand of light fingering weight yarn and one strand of mohair held together. Yarn brand: Gepard Garn -Wild & Soft, Color way: 146 Coffee cream, 60% Wool, 40% Silk, 50g=240m/262yd, used a total of 4 balls, approx. 960m/1048yd -Kid Seta, Color way: 106, 70% Mohair, 30% Silk, 25g=210m/230yd, used a total of 4.5 balls, approx. 960m/1035yd Needles: 4.5 mm (US 7) for the body. Use circular needles ranging from 60~120 cm according to the requirements of each section. 4 mm (US 6) for the neckband, hem and cuffs. DPNs or preferred needles (Magic Loop) for small circumference knitting. Other Materials: Stitch markers, removable markers, waste yarn.
