This stylish shawl is knit from the top down, beginning with a garter tab cast on, in a luxurious hand dyed yarn. As you add increases to the spine and edges a triangular shape is formed. The entire shawl is comprised of slipped stitch patterns making for an uncomplicated but impressive, quick knit that looks like it was so much harder than it actually was! It’s So Swanky! Yarn (2) Emma's Yarn Super Silky 400yard/ 100g of 80% Merino, 20% Silk, in contrasting colors. or 400 yards each of 2 colors of fingering weight yarn. Shown in Foxy Lady (MC) and Glamping (CC) Needles and Notions US Size 5 (3.75mm), 40 inch (100 cm) circular needle or size required for gauge. 2 stitch markers plus 3 optional markers for the garter tab cast on. Darning needle Gauge 18 sts and 32 rows = 4 inches in stockinette, after blocking. Gauge isn't crucial but will determine how much yarn of each color is used and your finished measurements.
