Autumn Warmth Wreath

It’s autumn in the forest, and this wreath celebrates the season as the nights draw in and woodlands change colour. The decorations include leaves, acorns, birds and forest animals. This knitting pattern includes the instructions to knit a wreath cover, and all of the decorative elements you can see in the photograph which includes Acorns, Blackbird, Branch, Bunny & Rabbit Hole, Conkers & Shells, Grass Leaves, Hedgehog, Holly Sprig, Horse Chestnut Leaves, Ladybirds, Mistletoe Leaves & Berries, Mole & Molehill, Mouse, Oak Leaves, Owl, Poinsettia, Robin, Silver Birch Leaves, Sloe Bush Leaves & Berries, Snail, Squirrel, and Toadstools. These decorative elements can also be used to decorate other projects, or use them to make brooches or decorate hair slides. Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, all pieces are knitted in 100% merino wool DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round). Some pieces are knitted tubes (i-cord) which is worked on two DPNs. You can choose how you cover your wreath with the decorative elements, you can copy the display I used or add the decorations to create your own design. I made each of these wreaths over a period of several weeks, knitting little pieces and building up layers of decoration to make a full wreath with lots of detail and interest. Note that this pattern does involve knitting lots of smaller pieces and attaching them to the wreath, so if you think you will find this too fiddly this may not be the project for you.
