It is worked in half double crochet through the back loop to create the ribbed effect. My samples were worked in size M. This is a very beginner friendly pattern, it uses basic stitches and includes a photo tutorial. This pattern has written sizes for S, M, and L, but it is easily adjusted to your size by working more or less rows and reducing your starting stitch count.
