Spruce Throw

Spruce Throw is a written pattern only. A lovely warm wintry throw full of trees, pine cones and pine needle patterns. This throw is made with yarn 50% wool - 50% acrylic. Any yarn can be used as long as the hook size is adjusted to that yarn. The yarn I used called for a 5mm hook, however, I used a 4mm hook for the throw and a 3.5mm hook for the envelope border. I liked the tighter feel it gave. If you use a 5mm hook, yarn adjustments will be needed. The size of the throw is 135cm x 84cm blocked and with envelope border. The size can easily be adjusted by adding more pattern repeats to each row and repeating patterns of your choice for length. The total amount of yarn I listed was for the above size throw in 4mm hook and with an envelope border with a 3.5mm hook. 11 100gm balls for the throw. 3 100gm balls for the envelope border.
