**Mausezahn** German, english below Meine Oma Gretel strickte mir jeden Sommer feine, weiße Baumwollsöckchen. Unbedingt dazu gehörte der „Mausezähnchen-Rand“, den ich bereits als Mädchen von ihr lernte und in dieser Anleitung zeige. Der kleine Umschlagrand der Socke geht in ein angedeutetes Zopfmuster über, welches sich mit Hilfe des verlinkten Videos auch sehr gut ohne Zopfnadel stricken lässt. Es trägt am Fuß nicht auf und passt bequem in den Schuh. Die Socken erhalten durch die bewährte Lanesocks-Ferse ihre gute Passform. Größen 4 Weiten, 60 M / 64 M / 68 M / 72 M, Längen siehe Größentabelle auf S. 5 / 7. Garnvorschlag Sockengarne mit einer LL von 360 - 425m / 100 g. Für Weite 64 M, gestrickt auf 2,25 mm Nd, in Länge 38/39, habe ich nach Lauflänge des Garns, zwischen 45 - 55 g benötigt. Werkzeuge 1 oder 2 Rundstricknadeln 2,0 - 2,25 / 2,25 - 2,5 mm, mit mind. 80 – 100 cm langem Seil oder entspr. Nadelspiel. Ich wünsche euch ganz viel Freude mit diesem hübschen Sommerstrick. The picot edge, which she also taught me when I was still a child and which is described in these instructions, was an absolute must for those socks – and it is the namesake for this design: In German, a picot edge is called Mausezahn, “mouse tooth”. The small, folded cuff of the socks turns into a light cable pattern that can be worked without a cable needle. The socks have a snug fit to the foot, so they sit comfortably inside the shoe. The Mausezahn socks get their good fit from the tried and tested Lane Socks heel. Sizes 4 widths, 60 sts / 64 sts / 68 sts / 72 sts. For food length specifications, please see size table on p. 5. Suggested yarn All sock knitting yarns with a yardage of 360 - 425 m/100 g (393 – 465 yds) will work fine. For width 64 sts/size 38/39, worked with US 1 (2.25 mm) needles, I used between 45 - 55 g of yarn. Needles and notions 1 or 2 circular knitting needles in sizes 2.0 – 2.25 mm (US 0 – 1)/ 2.25 – 2.5 mm (US 1 – 1.5), cables 80 – 100 cm (32 – 40”) long, or other needles for knitting in the round.
