Print, and low vision. The Sandport Sweater is a classic drop-shoulder sweater worked seamlessly from the top-down. This size-inclusive sweater includes built-in fit adjustments for all genders, combined with thoughtful grading, so you can achieve your perfect fit with minimal effort. On-trend deep split hem of View A or the classic hem and folded neckband of View B? Either way you’ll end up with an easy to wear, throw on and go knit that’s perfect for layering with other pieces. The simple stockinette makes it the perfect project when you want soothing, ‘vanilla’ knitting, with just a few details to keep you engaged. The yarn weight is easy to substitute, and the contrast stripes are perfect for leftovers. Get ready to create a one-of-a-kind sweater that fits your stash, budget, and colour palette. You’ll begin with the upper back, working increases to shape the shoulders. For the upper front you’ll pick up stitches along the shoulders, working each side separately to shape the neck, then join the two sides with a cast-on at the center front. At the bottom of the yoke you’ll pick up stitches for the sleeves, joining the front and back in the round to work a short raglan section. This allows your the stripes to flow around the garment and creates a comfortable fit without too much excess fabric around the underarm. When the yoke is complete you’ll put the sleeve stitches on hold and work the body in the round, adding optional shaping for D+ cup sizes and finishing with either a deep split hem, or a simple ribbed band. The sleeves are gently tapered and finished with deep ribbed cuffs. Finally, you'll complete the sweater with a ribbed neckband worked on stitches picked up around the neckline. Directions are included for a single or double fold neckband. The only finishing required before the sweater can become a well-loved part of your everyday wardrobe is blocking and weaving in the ends. **Yarn** Double knitting (DK) / light worsted weight yarn, wool blends are ideal. **Shown In** *View A: size 3, A-C cup, regular length with approx 8" of ease at the high bust.* Sandnes Garn Duo (55% Merino, 45% cotton, 125 yds / 115m, 50g) MC: 2336, CC: 1015 *View B: size 2, A-C cup, regular length with approx 5" of ease at the high bust, and bracelet length sleeves worked by omitting 10 rounds from regular sleeve length.* MC: Wettenhall DK Yarn by World of wool (100% Polwarth, 251yds / 230m, 100g) CC: Fluff Merino DK by World of Wool (100% Merino, 126yds / 115m, 50g) in Squirrel Tail [Download the Sandport Sweater pdf][2] for body measurements, schematic, and garment measurements. **Needles** US 5 / 3.75mm needles.
