Gather Sleeve Cardi

Simple, yet structured for easy wear and a touch of drama. This seamless cardi features gathered sleeve details, neck shaping, drop shoulders, balloon sleeves and a relaxed fit. Knit with 4-ply yarn, this sweater is worked from the top down, beginning with the back neck ribbing which is picked up to create the back panel. You will then pick up along the shoulders and work the fronts (together with the neckband) to the underarms. The body is worked flat and the sleeves are worked in the round. Designed to be worn with 15-26 cm /6-10" of positive ease, depending on your fit preference. I'm a 91 cm bust (size M in NZ) wearing size C with about 26 cm ease. **YARN** Choose a 4-ply yarn in 100% wool or wool blend. The recommended quantities below include a 10% buffer. 1450 (1560, 1700, 1900) (2000, 2150, 2300) metres 1550 (1710, 1900, 2050) (2200, 2350, 2500) yards **NEEDLES** Circular needles or size to obtain gauge: 3.25 mm (US 3) circular needle with an 80 cm (32") cord (or size needed to obtain gauge) AND 2.75 mm (US 2) circular needle with an 80 cm (32") cord. NOTE: The body is knit flat and the sleeves are worked in the round using the magic loop method.
