Breaking Dawn Shawl

Breaking Dawn is a fingering weight semi-circular shawl with alternating bands of garter and textures. Short pattern sections make this project very engaging; you just want to finish yet another section! Breaking Dawn is a medium size shawl that can be worn as a scarf around your neck or as a shawl on your shoulders. This pattern is written for one size. You can use four or more colors to create a gradient or just one for a more subtle look. This pattern includes written instructions but it is also charted. SIZE one size, 180 cm / 71 inches x 56 cm / 22 inches YARN 230 g or 920 m / 1006 yards of fingering weight yarn (400 m / 100 g). The sample features four different merino/nylon sock yarns. Estimated amount for each color is: Color 1: 20 g or 80 m / 88 yards Color 2: 35 g or 140 m / 153 yards Color 3: 55 g or 220 m / 240 yards Color 4: 100 g or 400 m / 438 yards Special techniques: Right and left leaning increases and decreases, yarn overs.
