Tulipalooza Shawl

Knit from the top down, this large triangle shawl is a cozy statement piece. Inspired by fields of tulips, the colorwork is created by using slipped stitches. If you can knit, purl, make a yarn over and a slip stitch, you can make this shawl!! Size: 70 inches (178 cm) along the top edge 22 inches (56 cm) at the deepest point Yarn: Sample pictured used Ewe2Yarn’s: One ‘SuperSWIRL’ five color Mellow (100% Merino) set. Each color is 50g/116yds/107m for a total of 250g/580yds/530m. Plus: One skein of “Mellow” DK 100% Merino. Each 100 gram skein is 231yds/211m. Or use any DK weight yarn of your choice in the following amounts: Main Color- 231 yds/211m. Five Contrast Colors- 116 yds/107m each. Needles and Notions: US size 7 (4.5 mm) with cord to accommodate a large number of stitches or a needle size to obtain gauge. Stitch markers and a darning needle. Gauge: 20 sts and 20 rows = 4 inches (10 cm) in the main slipped stitch pattern, blocked. The knit fabric is meant to be loose with lots of drape.
