Snowflake Hat Bulky

Years ago, one of my first published patterns was The Snowflake Headband. I’ve since made a coordinating super bulky Snowflake Hat, and this year I’ve been working on a new super bulky cowl as well as this bulky weight hat and cowl. This classic "Nordic Star" pattern, or snowflake motif, isn't original - it's been around longer than me - but I’ve loved the challenge of putting it into these knitting patterns. The pattern is written for two sizes: one adult and one child size. The adult size should fit average adult size large, and child should fit anywhere from toddler to child. The chart is quite wide, and this prohibits me from making a more diverse size selection with this particular pattern. This hat is knit in the round from the bottom up using circular needles. The pattern calls for 2 contrasting colors. Shown in Malabrigo Chunky. Bulky yarn can vary quite a bit, so be sure to gauge swatch the colorwork section and adjust needle size as needed to meet gauge.
