Dahlia Drawstring Bags

*Make 1, 2 or 3! A drawstring project bag is perfect for supplies, extra yarn, a work in progress – or gift to a Maker friend. Use the same color for all the parts, or use accent colors for the drawstring and embroidery.* **CONSTRUCTION** — This project bag is worked in the round on 16" circular needles. 2 i-cords are created for each drawstring bag, and optional flower embroidery is added to the front. **SUPPLIES** — **Yarn needed for 3 bags as pictured:** 3 skeins of Lion Brand Wool-Ease yarn in colors ‘Arrowood’, ‘Natural Heather’, and ‘Blush Heather’. (3oz, 85g, 197yd/180m ball), or similar worsted weight yarn. **or** (65g/150yds/138m for 1 bag) 5.0mm 16” (40 cm) circular needles Two 2.75-3.5mm double pointed needles Tools: 3 stitch markers, Scissors, Yarn needle, Measuring tape, Safety pin **GAUGE** — Worked in the round & wet blocked Stockinette: 18 sts x 24 rows = 4x4”(10 cm) Final Project size: 10x10” (25x25 cm) **SKILLS** — This pattern requires a working knowledge of knitting in the round, casting on and binding off. Experience with I-Cord and a folded edge will be helpful.
