*Darlingtonia State Natural Site, just outside Florence, is dedicated to the protection of Oregon's only native pitcher plant -- Darlingtonia californica. Also known as cobra lilies, these rare plants lure and trap insects in their uniquely developed hooded leaves, where they are absorbed by the plant for their nutrients. The Cobra Lily Kerchief draws inspiration from the strange shapes and vibrant colors of Darlingtonia's mottled, semi-transparent pitchers. Crocheted with just 2 skeins of Berroco's 100% recycled fiber yarn, Remix Light, this pattern is quick to make and impressive to wear.*
