When I started looking for crochet projects designed to use a yarn advent there wasn’t much out there. At first, I was forlorn, than I realized this was my chance to design something amazing! Once the Lumi shawl started taking shape I was in love! The perfect mix of interesting texture and repetition makes this the perfect post-holiday project. Skill Level: Tier 4, skills shine This pattern is designed to let your skills shine through patterns with a mix of intermediate stitches! What you need to know: Chain Double Crochet Single Crochet Slip Stitch Working 2 stitches together Yarn Over Tutorials Provided for: Puff stitch Working in the back loop only How to work a single crochet border Materials: fingering weight (level 1) yarn US 7 (4.5mm) hook Tapestry needle & scissors Blocking mat, pins, or steamer, optional This pattern includes a full yardage chart to allow you to customize your colors in any way. If you're a visual person - like me - a handy coloring page will help you visualize how your color combination will look in your final shawl. While this pattern was designer to be used with an Advent Kit, yardage and customization instructions allow your creativity to flow. This would also be an excellent project to use scraps!
