Sea Turtles

With pride I present my new pattern: **SEA TURTLES** in English and Dutch Sea turtles is an original, hand drawn new pattern. The turtles come in - **two** different techniques overlay mosaic and interlocking filet crochet) - x-charts (a small and a large printable one) - written patterns for right and lefthanded crochetters - links to my video tutorials for both techniques and envelope border - picture tutorial start up for interlocking filet crochet - two languages **English, German** and **Dutch** For the turtles you need: **Overlay mosaic crochet** Based on hook 4mm, US G-6 Pattern colour A dark (Stylecraft Special DK, TEAL 7 skeins) 2100 meters, 2200 yards without border Light background colour B (Stylecraft Special DK PARCHMENT 7 skeins, a little left over), total 2000 meters, 2200 yards without border Keep in mind when you change your hook size or yarn thickness the blanket needs more or less yarn Size 210 by 150 cm, 84 by 60 inches, variations happens due to yarn thickness, tension and hook size 313 stitches by 231 rows Add 900 meters, 990yards (3 skeins) per colour for the double envelope border Note: I am a tight crocheter, for the total blanket including double border, please add 2 skeins of 300m, 330y each per colour to be sure you have enough yarn. **Interlocking filet crochet** Based on hook 3 mm, US D Pattern colour A dark (Scheepjes Olifant Dark Green or any other compatible yarn) 1600 meters, 1750 yards Light background colour B (Scheepjes Our Tribe or any other compatible yarn), total 2000 meters, 2200 yards Keep in mind when you change your hook size or yarn thickness the blanket needs more or less yarn Size 125 by 95 cm, 59 by 50 inches, variations happens due to yarn thickness, tension and hook size 155 by 115 windows **Tension is key!** My tester and me both tested this version with the same yarn for overlay mosaic crochet (Stylecraft Special DK). Despite my tester used hook size 3.25mm, US D she used 300 m, 330y more then me. She even used only a single border while I made the double border.
