*Bakker means hills in Danish and the shawl was inspired by the view from my window over the soft rolling green hills.* The Bakker Scarf is worked from one end to the other creating a long and narrow scarf with pointy tips - but still wide enough to use as a hood on windy days or over the shoulders to keep the body warm. It has an all over garter texture with braids mimicking the outline of the hills. The pattern has both written instructions and chart as well as a video to show how to make the braids. **Yarn & Yardage** Yarn - 2 strands held together 1 strand of: Ístex Plötulopi in frost grass - 300 m / 327 yds per 100 g Sample used 2,5 plates - 750 m / 820 yds 1 strand of: Isager silk mohair colorway 68 - 212 m / 232 yds per 25 g Sample used 742 / 2812 yds - 3,5 balls *Note: Testers used a bit less so if you don't swatch 2 pates and 3 balls should be enough* **Gauge** 14 sts x 26 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4” in garter stitch on 4,5 mm / US7 in garter stitch (after blocking) **Needle size** 4,5 mm / US7 long circular needles **Final Measurements** (after blocking) Length from tip to tip: 257 cm / 101" Depth: 43 cm / 17" **Materials** Stitch markers - fixed (6) and removable (I recommend having plenty) Tapestry needle Crochet hook (approx. same as knitting needle)
