Tracking Along Cardigan

About: This Cardigan is a button up children’s sweater design, knitted top down in a raglan style. It has a gorgeous, twisted stitch detailing to the sides of the body. Designed to be knitted in a soft DK/8ply Merino yarn, it is a perfect children’s knit for ages from NB up to 12 years. You may like to pair this sweater with its matching hat, Tracking along hat. Construction: The construction is worked top-down beginning with raglan shaping, before dividing the sleeves and body. The body is then worked followed by the sleeves. The neck and button bands are worked last, by picking up stitches along the front edges and neckline. The cardigan is designed to have approximately 5cm/2” positive ease. Sizes: New-born, 3-6 months, 6-12 months, 1-2 years, 2-4 years, 4-6 years, 6-8 years, 8-10 years, 10-12 years Recommended Yarn: A solid or semi-solid, smooth DK/8ply, 100% Merino yarn. The sample shown is made in the 3-6 month size using Lammermoor Organic Yarn. Gauge: 22 stitches x 30 rows per 10 cm in stocking stitch using larger needles (4mm/US6). Recommended Needles: (adjust needles to meet gauge) • 4mm/US6, 40-80cm/16-32” length circular knitting needles (length depends on size knit). • 3.5mm/US4, 40-80cm/16-32” length circular knitting needles (length depends on size knit). • Small circumference needles for working in the round in both sizes.
