Noah Sweater is a beginner friendly oversize raglan sweater. Sweater has simple shape with beautiful well-thought details, e.g. the neckline rib stitches and raglan fit together creating a smooth, nice line. Gauge 15 sts and approx. 22 rows = 10 x 10 cm [4 x 4”] in stockinette stitch worked flat on 5,5 mm [US 9] needles. Construction note Noah Sweater is worked from the top down. The neckband is worked first. Then you work the yoke back and forth (flat) with raglan increases while shaping the neckline with german short rows. Once neckline shaping is finished you join the work and continue working in the round in stockinette stitch with raglan increases. When yoke is finished, you work separately body and the sleeves in the round in stockinette stitch and work ribbed edge with or without side splits. I recommend using the Italian/tubular bind off method but you can as well use the standard bind off method. Size guide Noah Sweater is designed to have 15-25 cm [6 - 10”] of positive ease, depending on the fit you want. Pictures show a sweater with 28 cm [11”] of positive ease. To find the right size for you measure yourself around your bust (or your wid-est upper body part), then look at meas-urements given at the beginning of the pattern (these are measurements of the finished garment). Positive ease is the difference between the measurement around your bust (or your widest upper body part) and meas-urement of the finished garment. This means if your bust circumference is 94 cm [37”], you would make size M with 26 cm [10.25”] of positive ease. (120 cm – 94 cm = 26 cm) [47.25” - 37” = 10.25”]
