Aran socks

These Aran socks are a perfect beginner project to improve your confidence with sock knitting. In this pattern, the socks are knitted from the top down with a turned heel. We've used one colour of yarn for these socks, but you can easily use a second colour for the cuff, heel, and toe to create a fun contrast! One size fits most adults. The Aran Sock is quite stretchy and can be worn as a slightly oversized slipper sock on smaller feet. The length of the sock is based on a measurement of the length of the foot. If you're making socks as a gift, you can estimate the foot length based on the shoe size. The circumference can be adjusted by casting on 4 sts more or fewer for sizes outside the EU 36-43 range.
