Anarâš Sweater

The colourwork patterns in the yoke are based on traditional decorative patterns used in Handwoven Saami belts and bands. The sweater has a relaxed fit through body and sleeves. The work begins with a provisional cast on below the ribbed collar. Next the yoke is worked with alternating increase rnds and colourwork sections. From underam, body and sleeves are worked separately. After working the final parts of colourwork, hem is worked straight in stockinette st and finished with half twisted ribbing, sleeves have a gently sloping line of increases and are finished with a close fitting ribbed cuff.
