**Construction**
The back neck is cast on and worked flat with increases to shape the shoulders. Front left and right panels are picked up and worked flat before joining at the neck. Front and back panels are joined and the body is worked in the round. Sleeves and collar are picked up and worked in the round and designed to be long and cosy.
**Sizing**
This sweater can be worn with any amount of ease, though it is recommended to have at least 5cm / 2” of positive ease and a maximum of 25.5cm / 10” Make sure to check the bicep circumference when choosing a size, you may wish to size down for the yoke depth and sleeve if choosing a lot of positive ease. If you are making the sweater for a male body, you may wish to size up for the yoke and sleeve. You may also wish to lengthen the sleeves and body (advice given in pattern).
Sample 1 (navy/cream) is worn with 25.5cm / 10” positive ease (size 4)
Sample 2 (purple/cream) is worn with 10 cm / 4” of positive ease (size 3, cropped)
Model is 5ft 7"
**Gauge and yarn**
It is always a good idea to gauge swatch to make sure your garment fits, and to make sure you’re happy with the fabric you’re creating. Adjust your needle size accordingly if needed. When using superwash yarn your garment is always more likely to grow, therefore it’s very important to
wash and block your gauge swatch for a more accurate gauge reading. Take note of your gauge before and after blocking, paying close attention to the row gauge as this will be useful for predicting final lengths. This garment is graded using row gauge so try and get as close as you can.
Samples use a lighter MC and darker CC
