Octopus Hat

This is my attempt at an octopus hat. I've never written a pattern before so I apologize if it doesn't make sense. Feel free to message me with questions. In my design, I use Oombawka's Half Double Crochet hat pattern, found here http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/basic-half-double-crochet-hat-2 and Suzanne M. Barrow's Rosy Shells hat ,found here. http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/rosy-shells-hat--scarf-set. I don't wish to pretend they're my work, they are both fantastic patterns.
