Polwarth

A refined take on the classic top down raglan with sweatshirt style details worked in brioche rib. The raglan shaping is worked at multiple rates for a flattering and comfortable fit that follows the contours of the shoulders. Paired lifted increases with a hidden purl rib between give the illusion of a single column of prominent knit stitches that look the right way up once the sweater is turned. Close fitting sleeves are worked before the body, my preferred construction order for a top-down seamless garment because it keeps the project portable for longer. The body is slightly cropped and boxy with gentle waist shaping and a slight taper towards the hem. Both sleeves and body are finished with brioche rib to match the neck detail.
