Twiddle Muff

The original Twiddle Muff (UK terms) and Twiddle Muff US terms. **Thank you to everyone who has downloaded and made this pattern - you've made life better for an awful lot of people.** This pattern was designed for Whigmaleerie Crafts' charity project, and is offered here free for anyone who wants to crochet twiddle muffs. It came about as the only patterns I could find were knit, and I thought the hookers should get to join in too. Twiddle muffs can be invaluable for dementia patients as the decorations (buttons, beads, zips and ribbons) give them something to do with their hands and can help calm restless impulses. This muff is worked in the round, in a spiral. It has two layers for warmth. Bobbles are optional. Instructions are given in British or US crochet terms.
