**This is the fourth design in the *[Celtic Cable Shawls][1]* collection.** **[More info about Celtic Cable Shawls on my website…][2]** This top-down semi-circular shawl features a striped body and a richly cabled edging, with stitch patterns inspired by the key spirals commonly found in Celtic and Pictish art. A picot cast-off gives an extra shot of contrasting colour. Two sizes are given, and the shawl can be blocked to a slight crescent shape, rather than semi-circle, if preferred. The cables are worked upon a background of reverse garter stitch, so there's a lot of purling! The cables themselves are not too challenging and could be attempted by a beginner at closed-loop cabling. **Skill Level** Advanced beginner to intermediate.
