One of these storms hit here in the eastern United States while I was working on my second knit of this pattern. A triangular shawl knit modularly in two directions to produce a pattern of interconnected stripes. Two circular needles are used to knit on one side at a time while keeping the other side’s stitches live. **Skills required:** • Increasing • Slipping stitches • Picking up stitches from slipped-stitch edges (see [tutorial][1]) **Measurements:** • Small - 51" wingspan, 22" deep • Large - 66" wingspan, 32" deep **Yardage details (by color value):** Small version (695 yards total): • Light - 195 • Medium - 370 • Dark - 130 Large version (1170 yards total): • Light - 390 • Medium - 340 • Dark - 440 Note: If you are using Tosh Merino Light or another yarn with 420 yards/skein for the largest size, you may be able to get by with just one skein of the dark color by leaving off the last stripe on section 7 and then making the border in the medium color instead of the dark. (This is to keep from having a stripe next to the border that is the same color.)
