You could call it a capelet. Or a poncho. Or a cowl. It’s the perfect touch of warmth for all seasons. Scrunch it up around your neck when you put your coat on—slip it down over your shoulders when you get there. Or pleat the neck with a pretty pin. It knits up in an evening—and we know someone who’s made eight of them! FINISHED SIZES - Small/Medium: Approx. 16"/41cm long when flat; fits up to 56"/142cm around shoulders (bust+arms). Photographed in small/medium. - Large/Extra Large: Approx. 18"/46cm long when flat; fits up to 60"/152cmaround shoulders (bust+arms). Note: As this piece stretches to fit around your shoulders, it shortens in length. For broader shoulders, you may want to increase the length of the first section before decrease rounds; this may require more yarn. To create the light, open version like that shown in the main photo, look for a summery blend of fibers (silk, linen, cotton) in worsted weight, and hold it together with a silk/mohair blend like Rowan Kidsilk Haze. For extra warmth, we used heavier-weight Rowan Brushed Fleece and added a cowl. As a bonus, we added instructions for sizing the Cozy down to fit a child.
