Kemmick Shawl

The Kemmick Shawl is one of six patterns in issue three of John Arbon Textiles' in house magazine, The Annual. It is a playful triangular scarf which combines garter stitch and the intarsia technique to create abstract fields of colours. It‘s a fun design to create your own vibrant colour palette and to play with leftovers from your stash. „This pattern is based on an aerial view of the fields around Exmoor, so we called it ‘Kemmick’ which means Flax Field. We thought this is the perfect name for a textile interpretation of our rural landscape!“ John Arbon Textiles, The Annual 3 **Finished Measurements** Wingspan (A): 188cm / 74" Depth (B): 40cm / 15.75" **Yarn ** [Knit by Numbers (DK; 233m per 100g)][1] 9 x different KBN DK Mini Skein shades (11 minis in total) [You can find kits for the Kemmick Shawl here, in both the sample colours, and a few other options we think would look particularly fab!][2] **Gauge** 24 sts x 19 ridges (38 rows) = 10 cm / 4" in Garter Stitch, measured after washing and blocking. **Needles**  3.5 mm / US 4 circular needles **Pattern Notes** This shawl is knitted sideways in garter stitch with increases and decreases occurring every fourth row.
