Strawberry Square

I designed this summery square for this years Granny Square Month CAL and was delighted to have a design chosen for the second year running. Please see the Hobbycraft website to see all the gorgeous squares for this years crochet along; lots of different techniques to try by lots of talented designers, and they’re all free to download! This cute square begins with a textured strawberry flower, surrounded by a circle of strawberries using a variety of stitches. The square is then bordered with petals. I used 5 colours from the gorgeous Knitcraft Cotton Blend range; yellow, white, teal, hot pink and coral. Stitches included in the pattern; front post, back loop, dc, htr, tr, dtr.
