Saltkråkan tee

The Saltkråkan tee is a striped summer tee with a circular yoke. The name Saltkråkan comes from the book “Vi på Saltkråkan” (“We on Salt-Crow Island”) by Astrid Lindgren. The Saltkråkan tee is knitted seamlessly top-down starting at the neckband. The neckband is knitted in stockinette stitch and folded double in the end. The sleeves and body are separated at the underarm and knitted separately. The back neck is shaped with short-rows to give it a bit more length and to improve the fit. All techniques are explained in the pattern. For a summer version I would recommend linen, cotton, silk or viscose blend yarns. If you wish to make a warmer wintery version, choose yarn with high wool content.
