Pocket Worry Monster

Create your own Pocket Worry Monster! This is an even smaller version of my original Worry Monster pattern. This version can be made with worsted/aran yarn, perfect for fitting in your pocket or even adding on to a keyring! Alternatively it could also be made with chunky chenille yarn, making him extra cuddly. The size makes this project very quick to work up which is ideal for fairs and markets. The PDF also includes a printable backing card that can be used to make your monsters really stand out a markets! The backing card has two sizes, one suitable for worsted yarn and one suitable for chenille yarn. Feeling anxious or worried? Take a moment to tell your worries to your Pocket Worry Monster! This can also be used as a tool to open up discussions about anxiety and mental health, especially with young people. The size of the completed Monster depends on the yarn and hook size used. The Monsters in the pictures were made using aran (#4 worsted weight) yarn and 3.5mm hook with 12mm 3D glitter safety eyes and are approx 6cm tall. The chenille Monsters were made using chunky chenille yarn and a 4.5mm hook with 16mm 3D glitter safety eyes and are approx 9cm tall. The PDF includes lots of pictures with detailed instructions! This pattern has been written using US crochet terminology. Skills required include making a magic ring, single crochet, increasing and decreasing, chain, slip stitch, bobble stitch and changing yarn colour.
