The slip stitches create a woven check motif that is fun to knit and mesmerizing to watch as the colors transform throughout the sock. This pattern features a garter stitch heel flap and an easy to memorize pattern repeat. One ball of this yarn would work great for the contrast color. I recommend using a solid or semi-solid yarn for the main color to make the texture pop. For an extra colorful version, try using two different self-striping yarns, one for the MC and another for the CC. This would create explosive color shifts in the sock.
