Surprise Musical Throw

The pictured afghan contains 9 motifs. The pattern includes a chart for a 10th motif. You can create additional motifs by filling in half notes to make quarter notes and vice versa. In the picture, the throw is 38 x 43" (97 x 109 cm). It looks slightly rectangular because my single crochet stitches are wide. If your sc stitches are not as wide, your throw will be closer to square and you will need slightly less background yarn. In worsted, the throw uses five skeins of Caron Simply Soft Solids in off white and about one and one-half skein of Plymouth Encore Worsted in navy. It would also look good in a lighter-weight yarn.
