It is worked sideways, starting from one edge to the other edge. When I designed a sweater, Alpaca no miru yume - a dream dreamed by an alpaca -, I wanted to combine the butterfly motif used for the pullover with garter stitch to make a scarf. I hope you will think about this pattern when you have left over, or when you want to try out a new yarn. You can adjust the length by changing the number of butterflies.
