Included in the pattern are some different color combination ideas. This piece is 213 stitches by 262 stitches. I used a DK weight yarn and (with the border) the piece measures 56" x 66". This is a beginner level pattern and includes a photo and video tutorial on how to do mosaic crochet. It does include a photo tutorial on creating a basic envelope border, as well as written and graph instructions for the film envelope border. Please note: if you decide to make the film reel border on the front, and a simple DC border on the back, you will need to match stitch counts in the corners. The PDF pattern is written in U.S. terminology and includes the full written pattern in a row-by-row format, as well as the ticked graphs. The written format is in a new, easier to read format! **2025 UPDATE** The PDFs have been combined to streamline the download process. Left-Handed and Right-Handed written instructions are included, as well as a single-page graph. I chose to make mine with a 4 mm hook and DK weight (3 weight) yarn. Yarn specifics: Paintbox DK White: 2,100 yards Black: 1,930 yards Film border yarn usage: White: 210 yards Black: 970 yards Gray: 490 yards I used a total of approximately 4,000 yards, excluding the border The border used approximately 1,670 yards (for a total of 5,670 yards). The size is approximately 50” wide by 60” tall excluding the border.
