Knitting pattern #Bumblebee_Cardi is a simple yet very elegant button-fastened model for children described stitch-by-stitch. You will find 7 sizes carefully calculated and tested: 0-9 months (74 cm); 12-18 months (80-86 cm); 2-3 years (92-98 cm); 4-5 years (104-110 cm); 6-7 years (116-122 cm); 8-9 years (128-134 cm); 10-11 years (140-146 cm). The cardigan is worked from the bottom to the top: the body is worked as a single piece in turning back and forth- rows then the piece is split into 3 sections: right panel, back and left panel, which are worked separately from each other in back and forth- turning rows in stockinette stitch as well. Then shoulder seams are worked and stitches of each sleeve are picked from the armholes. The sleeves are worked in the round in stockinette stitch. For the last step knit neck and bands Stitch level is moderate and thanks to **partial** videos (helpful with no sound) incorporated into the pattern I can recommend the pattern even for attentive and patient beginners. You will need: Infinity Air (150 m/50g [164 yds/1.75 oz]), Drops Air or any other Aran weight yarn if you obtain the gauge: 3, 3, 4, 4, 5, 6, 7 balls (for each size correspondingly) or 492, 492, 656, 656, 820, 984, 1148 yds. Knitting needles: circular needles 4 mm [US6] with 80 cm [32 in] cord, circular needles 3 mm [US 3 1/2] with 80 cm [32 in] cord and DPNs of the same sizes for sleeves and cuffs. Notions: tapestry needle, cable needle (CN), 4 stitch holders (or you can use scrap yarn for that), 5-7 buttons (18-20 mm in diameter), scissors, stitch markers Gauge in a swatch of 10 x 10 cm 4 x 4 in in stockinette stitch on the larger needles – 20 sts x 31 rows Embroidery materials: Option A: bumblebees Materials and notions: embroidery thread in 3 colorways: yellow, black/brown, white (floss or any other thin yarn with around 200 m/50 g), a matching needle.
