Riika Socks

Riika Socks are worked from cuff to toe in rib pattern. The stripes make for a sporty college look. The heel is worked as an increase heel with a heel flap wedge in reverse stockinette stitch and a heel turn wedge in stockinette stitch. Thereafter the instep is worked in rib, the foot in stockinette stitch.   The toe is worked as a classic and comfy barn toe with right and left leaning decreases. Riika socks are worked from classic 4 ply sock yarn. Recommended needles Circular needle 2,5 mm, min. 80 cm long. Knit a gauge swatch first and adjust the needle size if necessary. Gauge 10 x 10 cm in stockinette stitch in rounds = 30 sts x 42 rounds on needle 2,5 mm. Supplies Wool needle, measuring tape, scissors, stitch markers. __________________________________ Die Riika Socks werden vom Bündchen zur Spitze in einem Rippenmuster gestrickt. Die Ringel sorgen für einen sportlichen Look. Die Ferse wird als Zunahmeferse mit einem Fersenwandkeil aus linken Maschen und einem Fersentrittkeil aus rechten Maschen gearbeitet. Der Oberfuß wird anschließend weiterhin im Rippenmuster, der Unterfuß glatt rechts gestrickt. Die Spitze wird als klassische und bequeme Bandspitze mit nach rechts und links geneigten Abnahmen gearbeitet. Gestrickt werden die Riika Socks aus 4-fädigem klassischen Sockengarn. Stricke zuerst eine Maschenprobe und passe die Nadelstärke gegebenenfalls an. Maschenprobe 10 x 10 cm glatt re in Runden = 30 M x 42 Rd mit Nd 2,5 mm.
